Central Park Building 8
Building 8 previously utilized an outdated Building Management System (BMS). Efficient Control Systems was contacted to investigate the building’s high power consumption. Upon our investigation, we found that failed BMS points caused certain plant items to run continuously, resulting in excessive energy consumption, no chiller energy savings strategy, and failed communication issues with the existing Schneider/Siemens field-level controllers. Efficient Control System designed a new control system that integrated with the existing Siemens DXR’s and Innotech SKIA field-level controllers. A Sauter supervisory controller took command of the HVAC building services and a front-end BMS computer offering visibility, trending, and scheduling of the building’s operations.
In response, Efficient Control Systems installed a new, cloud-based BMS system, reducing power consumption and providing the capability to remotely access and monitor building operations from any location. Efficient Control Systems also completed the wiring change-over and commissioning of the new BMS

Shed39 AHU Controls Upgrade
Shed39 consists of 6 RPU’s supplying comfort heating and cooling to two levels. RPU3, RPU4, and RPU5 had a controls upgrade in 2013 when the Seismic Upgrade and fitout was completed. 2023 a new tenant has moved into Level 1, RPU1, RPU2, and RPU6 is having a birthday and now its their turn for a controls upgrade. Efficient Control Systems successfully intergraded a Strato Automation Controls System into the existing Siemens BMS system. The software was amended to incorporate the new hardware and the graphics were updated to capture the new RPU controls and displayed on the plantroom touchscreen.
Paraparaumu Memorial Hall
Our Client, Controlled Building Services was after an energy-efficient product to replace the old gas heating within the hall. Efficient Control Systems designed and implemented an automated solution that optimises energy efficiency and enhances occupant comfort. In collaboration with the Efficient Control System, a no-draft solution was utilised using fabric ducting, increasing occupant comfortability.
Te Kairanga Winery
Efficient Control Systems commissioned a state-of-the-art heating system for the new TK Winery Cellar Door and Restaurant complex. The control system was designed with meticulous attention to detail from concept to completion. This cutting-edge system ensures optimal performance while minimising environmental impact.
